Also, online business directories have algorithms they say can detect through wording and frequency what content is legitimate and which is not. In other words it can read people’s minds? We all know this is impossible. Why the algorithm? They feel it’s necessary as an attempt to manage the huge amount of data constantly pouring in. Their survival depends on their content’s truthfulness. And if it were seen as flawed that could result if reduced viewership.  In essence the algorithm is a type of deception.
